The broad focus of our research group is to understand the molecular mechanisms of cancer development and progression. Our primary research interest is to define the collective influence of germline and somatic alterations on tumor progression. Further, we are interested in understanding the mechanisms by which non-coding regions in the genome influence gene regulation. We utilize integrated whole genomic analysis in combination with functional studies to understand the pathways of tumor progression and acquisition of therapy resistance.
